Financing Your Air Conditioner With Precision

We understand what it’s like to maintain a family and a household, and how hard it can be to stash money for unexpected expenses, that’s why we offer several different financing options for our credit-worthy customers.  We also frequently run financing specials that include budget-friendly options like $0 down, no interest and no payments for the first 18 months, or 0 percent interest for up to 84 months.  Low interest financing options starting at 2.99 percent mean that when it does come time to pay the piper, your payments may be as low as $80 a month, depending on the unit installed in your Phoenix home.

Your battle against the blazing heat of the desert doesn’t have to be one you fight alone.  Precision Air and Heating is here to help you finance your next air conditioner purchase so you aren’t forced to endure the brutal heat of an Arizona summer with inadequate equipment.  For about the daily cost of a 20-ounce soda, your home will be your oasis once again and your family, friends and pets will be protected from the devastating effects of long-term heat exposure.

Financing Your AC Unit is the Smart Choice

The hot, burning sun isn’t fun for homeowners anywhere, but in the desert of Arizona, it’s even less of a picnic.  There’s a reason every home has some type of air conditioning: because it’s absolutely necessary to sustain life.  When you need to upgrade your air conditioning unit, but don’t have the spare cash, financing a new unit is possible — but is it a good idea?

When you live in a city where there are an average of 107 days with a high above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, properly functioning air conditioning is vital each and every day.  Heat-related illness is serious business that can result in hospitalization or death if you can’t escape the brutal heat of the Phoenix valley. For that reason alone, financing a replacement air conditioner should be seen as an investment in your future.

Air conditioning financing is a common practice, even in areas where AC is more of a luxury than a necessity.

A recent study by the non-profit group NeighborWorks America found that 29 percent of American adults lack any amount of emergency savings, and an additional 21 percent only have enough savings to cover their basic expenses for one month.

It’s nice to be able to pay for costly items like air conditioners with cash whenever possible. But if cash isn’t an option, know that interest rates are hovering at near-record lows. The amount of interest you’ll pay when financing an air conditioner is very small, making a new AC unit more affordable for the summer months when it’s needed most.

New Air Conditioners Save You Money, Too!

If you’re upgrading from an air conditioner that was manufactured before 2006, your unit probably has a SEER rating of less than 10.  Today’s air conditioners are generally rated at 15 SEER or higher, so the potential savings could actually pay for your new financed unit in Arizona.

Nationally, upgrading from a 10 SEER to a 15 SEER unit represents an average 33 percent savings each year you run your new unit, with the new unit saving you $1,620 or more over a 15-year lifespan.  In Phoenix, your savings will be even greater since you’re going to be running your air conditioner a lot more than the average American.

Modern AC units also use a much less expensive refrigerant, which has replaced R-22 (also known as Freon) as the industry standard.  As your new unit ages, it will be cheaper to repair and recharge than your out-modeled R-22-based air conditioner.

Because Freon is being phased out of production, the cost to work on outdated units will increase steadily, making them not only expensive to operate, but also expensive to maintain and dispose of when they finally give up for good.
