Want to make sure the above bullet points aren't a bunch of fluff? Here's a little more detail on what the A/C Tune Up includes:
Clean Condenser Coil
Your outdoor condenser coil performs a touch job in warm weather. The coil takes the concentrated heat collected for your home and returns it to the hot outdoor air. When this coil becomes dirty, the fan cannot move as much air as required for good efficiency. This raises your electricity costs and will shorten the life of your outdoor unit. We will clean this coil using a mild acid wash to ensure that it becomes completely clean.
Add up to 5 pounds of Freon
After checking the Freon levels, we will replace up to five pounds of Freon at no additional cost.
Install permanent washable filter
We will custom cut a permanent filter for your home. Once this high efficient filter becomes dirty, you will simply just wash it out using a standard garden hose. Imagine the savings by not having to purchase filters each month from your local store.
Replace one electrical component
Once our 17 point inspection is complete, if we find that you are in need of a basic electrical component, we will replace it as part of the service. Run Caps, Contractors and Relays are some examples of basic components. (Excludes Motors & Compressors).
Condensate drain flush
The condensate drain allows excess moisture created by the HVAC system to escape outside to a safe exit point. Over time, debris can build up within the line causing a blockage. This can often lead to costly water damage to your homes interior. We will flush the line using high pressure gas to ensure it is in proper working order.

More information on A/C units:
As wel all know an air conditioner is a very tough piece of equipment. It is engineered to withstand all sorts of abuse and keep on running. This is great in most respects, but it can lead to complacency about maintenance. Like a car, air conditioners need regular tune ups to run properly. In fact, if you have a home warranty, regular maintenance is required!
Without regular maintenance an air conditioner loses about 5% of it's original efficiency for each year of operation. This means that the 12 SEER unit that you bought just a few years ago may be functioning like a 9 SEER unit today! The good news is that you can recover most of that lost efficiency through regular maintenance. Studies show that with regular tune ups a unit will maintain up to 95% of it's original efficiency. This means that the cost of an annual tune up is recovered very quickly in savings on your monthly electric bill and reduced repair costs. A properly serviced air conditioner will also do a better job of dehumidifying your home.
If you're interested in preventing or recovering lost efficiency, extending the life of your equipment, reducing the likelihood of a major breakdown, and increasing your comfort while lowering your operating cost then give us a call today to schedule your preventive maintenance tune up. Our service area includes Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Glendale, Gilbert and surrounding areas.
